CleanHub secures $7 Million funding led by Lakestar and Integra Partners, for cleaner plastic free coastal regions and oceans. The company aims to fill the waste management gap in developing countries and use funding the funding along with infrastructure to manage waste more efficiently.
CleanHub states that 2 billion people in coastal regions worldwide lack proper waste management which leads to higher plastic pollution. The company claims to use the funding to bring a systematic change in the waste management process and to increase circular economy of plastic.
Today, consumers demand eco-friendly sustainable means to get products and services. As a result, most brands now work towards a sustainable process for products and services. CleanHub helps brands to fulfil their sustainability goals by funding plastic waste recovery and generating opportunities for brands to take measurable steps to stop plastic pollution.
To achieve this, CleanHub has come up with a track & trace technology for plastic recovery process. The technology uses AI to weight, photograph and monitor each bag of waste and avail manual checks for the accountability of the plastic waste. CleanHub is the first plastic credit system verified by TÜV SÜD.
